Community Health Charities of Wisconsin’s role is to support its member agencies by the participation in, and the establishment and development of work place giving campaigns throughout the State of Wisconsin. CHCWI represents over 60 national and Wisconsin based health charities. Our member agencies raise funds for research into the cause and for the cure of diseases, disabilities and chronic conditions that afflict our population. They also provide support services and educational programs for constituencies affected by these conditions.
Our member agencies play an important part in the overall health care system in that in addition to their research role, the agencies provide significant educational and long term support services to those affected. These services are often provided at little or no cost to the recipients.
CHCWI’s main purpose is to place our portfolio of member charities into workplace/employee giving campaigns. The CHCWI affiliation mechanism allows for efficiency and simplicity for the organizations that allow their employees to be solicited for charitable contributions. The CHCWI mechanism allows individual contributors the ability to directly support the charity of their choice.
